About Me!

My name is dante, founder of dantesknife.com.
I’ve done an awful lot of reading on the subject… I subscribe to a couple of differnt knife-making bulletin boards and even a couple of YouTube channels… But I have never heard anyone mention any specific laws concerning the manufacture of knives.

There are all sorts of laws regarding what you may carry on your person, of course. Many states prohibit this or that type of “dagger” or “gravity knife” or “switchblade”…. But none to my knowledge prohibit the manufacture or possession of such knives.

You may feel free to purchase whatever chunk of steel you like and grind, file, or forge it into whatever type of knife you’re capable of.
